Connection problem Access denied for user 'ocs'@'localhost' (using...)

Hello everybody,

I have installed everything accordingly and run the ./setup.sh, everything was correct.

Although, when I start my browser (http://localhost/ocsreports/) I got the message below:

" ERROR: MySql connection problem
Access denied for user 'ocs'@'localhost' (using password: YES) "

I could not find a solution for that, can someone help?! Please?

Thanks,

:wq!

Are you sure MySQL is running and you can connect to it?

Re: Connection problem Access denied for user 'ocs'@'localhost' (using...)

Sorry my last message was not complete, i can connect normaly.

Follow some more info below:

> Server operating system name and version - Redhat Enterprise 5 (64bit)

> Apache mod_perl version -  httpd.x86_64 / mod_perl-2.0.4

> OCS Inventory NG Server setup log file "ocs_server_setup.log" - only the last part of it:

"# Deployment packages download area
#
# Alias to put Deployement package files outside Apache document root directory
#
Alias /download /var/lib/ocsinventory-reports/download
******** End updated ocsinventory-reports.conf.local ***********
Writing communication server configuration to file /etc/httpd/conf.d//ocsinventory-reports.conf
Administration server installation successfull"

> Apache web server "error.log" log file:

"[Wed Sep 09 13:53:44 2009] [error] [client 10.1.5.138] Can't call method "rollback" on an undefined value at /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.8/Apache/Ocsinventory/Server/System.pm line 261.\n"

Re: Connection problem Access denied for user 'ocs'@'localhost' (using...)

Case Solved!

The password should be BLANK ("") not ocs ("ocs");

Thanks,
